I only blinked and suddenly here we are, about 1/3 of the way through the 2014 school year.
Our school is in good heart. We have 7 full-time classrooms, with some great collaboration between the teachers, especially the team teaching in the Junior school. To help to make this more effective plans are in place to take out walls and create "break-out spaces" in what are currently cloakrooms in the Junior block. We are creating modern learning environments in a school that was built in 1955!
Old favourite activities such as Outdoor Education Week and the School Fair have been and gone - both were resounding successes and lots of fun!
Wet weather has been playing havoc with many of our outdoor activities and things are looking a bit dicey for next week's cross-country - it could end up being a "mud plug"!
I was prompted to up-date my blog by this picture taken at Kakanui Beach during the Junior School's visit there as part of Outdoor Education Week. I think it is really special and wanted to put it somewhere so that lots of people can see it.
